DC JCC and Bright Horizons at 1776 F Street

Did anyone get acceptance notification from the DC JCC on 2/19/2008. I received an email that mentioned that acceptance emails were going out that day. I want to know if some people did get this email (I didn't).
Secondly, does anyone know about teh Bright Horizons at 1776 F Street? Are you happy with the care have you heard good or bad things? Thanks! |

| My daughter went to the Bright Horizons at 1776 F (Fingerprints) from 3 months to 3 yr old. We loved it! Warm and wonderful teachers, great curriculum. The rules and procedures were fairly strict, but that also kept it a safe place for the kids. I would be happy to chat with you about this. My e-mail is sgottlieb @ stanfordalumni.org. |

PP - My daughter had been on the waiting list for way over a year and a half and we just got excepted. I am going on a tour today, but I was glad to read your positive review. 1776 F Street isn't super convenient for my husband and I, but my main issue is that they are insisting that we except the spot by March 1st. Currently, we have an amazing nanny that we are sharing with an amazing family. I would not feel comfortable about giving them such short notice. I am going to ask Bright Horizons if we can have a April start date, but I have a feeling they will say no (or yes as long as we pay for March). As you mentioned they are strict regarding their rules!!! Thank you very much!

| hi. we're on the wait list at dc jcc too. do they always send out acceptances in feb? and if you are accepted in feb, when would your kids start? in september? just curious because our daughter turns 2 in march. |

| Hi, this is the original poster. My daughter is also on the waiting list (she turns 2 in September). I know that acceptances went out in February and that so far three spots have been declined. I was told another email was going to be sent out to everyone on the waiting list this past Friday, but I never received an email. In addition, the director told me that there is talk of opening a second two year old room that would be for 2.5 year olds only. This is all for a September start, so maybe the 2.5 room (if it happens) would work out for your child. I have been having serious doubts that my daughter will get a spot at the JCC for this September, so I plan on checking in on the other wait lists she is on pretty regularly. |

| Actually, 1776 F St is NOT Fingerprints. Fingerprints is the next one up in the GSA building (1800 F St) |
