I've never gone into labor on my own, and this is my 3rd. First one, I was induced at 41 weeks 2 days, 2nd one I had a scheduled c section at 39 weeks, and this third one I'm also scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks. I'm 36 weeks today. I'm nauseous, exhausted, and having mild contractions in my front and back. It is extremely hot where I live, which isn't helping. I'm drinking tons of water, but I can't really rest because I have 2 other kids. Of course I"ll call the OB, but peer feedback is nice too. Beginnings of labor? Just Braxton Hicks and normal?
It's hard to say. Continue to hydrate yourself and if they peter out when you rest, likely not labor. I had contractions throughout both pregnancies and when I would drink a ton and put my feet up they would stop. Real labor, they will continue and intensify over time.
Try Gatorade or coconut water.
Hard to say, but I would bet not labor. When it's labor, you know.
Not me. I thought early labor was just cramping because of the heat. Found out I was wrong when I went into active labor maybe 4 hours later! |
It could be normal for women with already big belly down there. Labor could involved too much pain and wetting too much liquid below. Just call your ob in case things worsen.
