As with so many services, this area is blessed an cursed with an abundance of choices-- anybody have a recommendation for an Infant CPR class they liked? Felt was worthwhile and the teaching "stayed with you"?
We are expecting our second in the fall and it's been 4 years since we took our last CPR class, we need a refresher!
Thanks in advance

As someone who has done CPR hundreds of times in my career, the odds of you needing to perform infant CPR are 1 in a million. If it's for the possibility of a SIDS case, you would have to be there within minutes of the child's heart stopping and that almost never happens.

I know this sounds mean to say but all this infant CPR talk is more of a feel good situation for new parents. Do yourself and other's a favor and take the full CPR class, the odds of you saving the life of an adult are MUCH more real.

I responded on the other thread also: http://www.frontlinescpr.com/

And to PP, you're crazy to think that people shouldn't learn CPR just because they won't ever have to use it. The class was 2 hours and although it was "infant and child cpr", I learned the skills to apply it to an adult.

Last time I took a CPR class was 10+ years ago. Everything has changed! I highly recommend taking a class.

Stupidest response ever. At least 3 of my friends have had to perform the Heimlich on their child.

I also recommend frontlines CPR. It is convenient for working parents b/c classes are at night and short. 2 hrs. It goes over everything you need, and nothing you DONT. you wont get the CPR cert but you don't need that.
