Hi,
I am a reporter for a Japanese newspaper and working on an article regarding School Choice in US. I am looking for a parent who is available for an interview--can be anonymous---whose kids go to a private school with school voucher program, go to a Charter school or a school outside of the traditional school district . I am afraid I do not fit your requirements, but I would suggest keeping in mind that what consitutes options for "school choice" differ greatly from state to state.
Each state sets their own funding rules/procedures, and each state will have different rules/procedures pertaining to locally generated funding. Aside from funding -- each state will have their own rules on curriculums, testing, and teacher education/licensing. All of that means that parents will have very different experiences depending on the state, and often the particular school district, where they live. |
