Richard Spencer's gym membership was revoked after a Georgetown professor confronted him

Anonymous
I heard this woman on NPR and didn't know what the segment was about, but I immediately thought: Psychotic cat lady loon who is DESPERATE for confrontation & attention.

I don't think she's working with a full deck and the media should ignore her. Ditto Richard Spencer. There are no winners in this story.

Well ok, but how do you define "hatred?" Does opposing same-sex marriage make one a hater?(Buchanan and Ken Cuccinelli fall into this camp) Or is i just racist comments that would make someone a hater?

I'm biracial. He thinks people like me are unnatural. I feel pretty confident that this qualifies as him hating me and people like me.

But why should holding this view get his gym membership revoked?

DP.. you're being dense. If most of the members find him offensive and feel uncomfortable with him being there, then the gym made a business decision to remove that person. And no, it's not the same thing as removing a minority or a gay person from a membership.

Paleo is just regurgitating from his alt right reading. I think a direct copy of this. Advise. Do better research. Think more for yourself.

It would be nice if we could have that kind of exclusivity! But you can bet as soon as we tried to set up any kind of membership based group that discriminated against and didn't admit others based on things like politics, liberals would sue us faster than you can say "yoga".

So things will remain status quo - where RW'ers can be discriminated against at-will, but never get to do any discriminating of our own, lest we be sued.

Yeah I think you might wanna stick with the status quo. You keep that white supremacist shit to yourself or expect to get your ass whupped. Ain't no safe space for you if I hear that shit.

Is that a threat?

Are you suggesting that I face some kind of physical danger from you? Is that what you're saying?

Please elaborate. Because this forum has rules, and I expect them to be enforced. And you need to be banned.

Spencer's a nut. White supremacist. Nazi

Spencer has repeatedly quoted from Nazi propaganda and denounced Jews, and has on several occasions refused to denounce Adolf Hitler.

Spencer and his organization drew considerable media attention in the weeks following the 2016 presidential election, where, at a National Policy Institute conference, in response to his cry "Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!", a number of his supporters gave the Nazi salute and chanted in a similar fashion to the Sieg heil chant used at the Nazis' Nuremberg rallies. Spencer has defended their conduct, stating that the Nazi salute was given in a spirit of "irony and exuberance".[11]

I do occasionally look at NPR, and the Atlantic publishes some interesting stuff. I was just giving you guys an idea of what I read regularly. I'll certainly get my views challenged at St. John's, but all of the classes are discussion based. No indoctrination

Sure.... according to wiki. A former writer of one of your trash sources

From March to December 2007, Spencer was assistant editor at The American Conservative magazine. According to founding editor Scott McConnell, Spencer was fired from The American Conservative because his views were considered too extreme.[13] From January 2008 to December 2009, he was executive editor of Taki's Magazine.[18]

In March 2010, Spencer founded AlternativeRight.com, a website he edited until 2012. He has stated that he created the term alt-right.[9]

She is the typical DelRay SJW who hangs at Bon Vivant or St Elmo's. if she cared so much about equality, she would go to the Y in DelRay rather than the toney Sport and Health where only the staff and trainers are not white.

Spencer is vile.

The ROTC cadet / future army officer at UMD was stabbed and killed by one of the alt right facist followers. Everyone who supports this movement is guilty. I hope all y'all are lilly white and Protestant, because if you aren't, they are going to go after you next. (And by lilly white, I mean you aren't a dark skinned Italian American, or partially Hispanic, etc...)
