Here, I'll say it in conservative speak: the business doesn't want to be affiliated with Nazis. It is their right to discontinue having him as a client. Read the disgusting things tweeted to the woman who confronted him. It's a disgusting look into the underbelly of America. The gym doesn't want that kind of filth getting all over their gym.

They are reprehensible, but that doesn't matter. I don't care what he belives. As long as he's not hurting anyone or insulting people at the gym, why should his membership be revoked?

Now to be clear, I'm no fan of Spencer. He's a pro-choice Atheist and a low-brow racist. That being said, I don't understand why his gym membership was revoked. What did he do to get it revoked? I know you guys probably think he's a piece of trash, but why should one's political/social views get one's membership at a gym revoked? He even tried to avoid the situation by telling this Georgetown professor that he was not Richard Spencer. If anything, I think it's the professor who should have her membership revoked. Just ridiculous.

Just finished up my last year at prep school. I'm headed to college this fall. I've already said I think it's the righ decision from a vuisness prospective. I just wish the leaders of this gym had a spine. Take a stand and lose some customers. Why did they ever let him join in the first place, if it's such a big deal?

OP, right-wingers are welcome at any gym. Richard Spencer is not "a right-winger".

I think the gym could have taken a courageous stand and kept him on. However, their business model is increasing the number of satisfied gym-goers, not reducing it. So they kicked out the problematic gym-goer.

Right. I agree it's the right move from a business prospective. Where do you draw the line though? Let's say Pat Buchanan worked out at a gym, and was confronted by someone. Do you think he should be booted out? How do you decide who's welcome and who's not?
