| What's the deal with this? Every FB friend I have who is doing Shakeology or a similar diet post daily photos of themselves drinking the shakes. I don't get it. I guess it's slightly less annoying of the selfie shots of themselves sweating after a half mile walk.... |

Getting ready for bikini season. Happens every year.
Here's what you'll discover: Some women will stop posting in a few weeks, and they'll look the same as usual. Others will incessantly post to the point of obsession and begin posting pics in workout gear or bikinis...and the pics are often taken in their (sometimes messy) closet. Some of those women clearly have eating disorders...and most seem to need affirmation from FB. |
| Same annoyance level of the r + f before and after pics....of the consultants taking selfies....with all the affirmative replies....from other consultants with hashtags CEO of my own business, living the dream etc |
What kind of weirdo actually gets ready for bikini season? Other than some hair removal. |
| Because they want you to contact them and buy the shakes because they look sooo good! Ugh. |
| I also they think they are encouraged to do it and use a specific hashtag to contribute to the [insert whatever shake or diet plan they are on] community and the company uses it as a way of promoting their product.. Sometimes there are contest so they take selfies and tag the company or use the current hashtag. |
| It's how they push their product. You are encouraged to post your shake every day. Easy marketing. |
Those of us who put on an extra 5 or so pounds over the winter and don't get outside to exercise as much. |
| Shakology has a challenge through "coaches" whereby you post 5 times a week drinking shako and 3 times a week after a workout (sweat pic) and you get into a pool to divide and win $2.0M that has been contributed by Shakology. I did one in Nov/Dec (4 weeks) and Shakology had contributed $3.0M - each participant ended up getting $16 after the challenge. I was expecting much much more but I did lose 10lbs so that was a win. |
I think the company encourages it and you can win free crap |
This. |
| How to have a Beachbody: Have a body. Go to the beach. |
| New Years resolution overkill. It will die off in a few more weeks, except for the mompreneurs who will continue to post, hoping you'll buy into their pyramid |

Heh, my sister was into this a year or two ago, and clearly ran out of ideas of what to post. She started including pics of her kids "stealing a sip" of her shakes, saying "If I let my kids have some, you know it has to be good!" I wanted to comment "Your kids eat Cheetos off the floor for breakfast sometimes."
Surprise, surprise, her "business" didn't last long. |
I'm doing one of these right now and there's a lot of encouragement to post to Facebook. I don't. |
