Just came from Safeway and redeemed my Farberware coupons. I am now the proud owner of the 2 at straining saucepan and 12 in covered everything pan. Merry Christmas to me! This makes up for that dreadful Monopoly game. |
I went to Safeway this week for the first time in forever and there was a woman going register to register asking people for those stupid coupons. I had no idea what she was talking about. |
Where do I get the coupon? |
You get them at the register when you check out |
They give you 1 coupon (stamp) for every $10 spent |
Glad for you OP! And yes, the Monopoly game really stunk. |
I'm saving up for the roasting pan ? |
Me too!! Not sure if I'm going to get enough stickers to make it free though. I think that they have forgotten to give me the stickers a few times when my purchase was small. |
I just got it and it is a beaut! Don't forget the game stops ~Jan 3, and you have to redeem by ~17th. And yes, Monopoly stunk. I hear it's coming back, though. |
This sounds like banks and the Depression.
I still have one of my great grandma's depression dishes. It is a beautiful, heavy, green glass serving bowl. That is cool Safeway is doing something similar. I almost never shop there since they are so expensive. |
My mom got me an iron and hand mixer for my 16th birthday usong coupons like that years ago. I wasn't all that excited for those items at the time though I did use them for several years when I moved out. |
Much as I kinda envy that straining saucepan, I've decided I'm giving my stamped pamphlets (I have two almost completed - family of 5 = many stamps!) to my housekeeper. She just bought a new house and it was a long process for closing on the loan, with mega-cash being held in escrow and hampering her cashflow. She even asked me for some hand-me-alongs from my son for her grandson when the weather got cooler because she didn't have the extra cash to stock up on stuff for him at Target. She has been loyal and thorough and stayed with us through our happiest times (3 new babies!) and bad (my cancer treatment, loss of her dad, my recent job loss) - I found her through DCUM 11 years ago. Last year I cashed in those stamps for some knives that have honestly just sat in my drawer ever since - I don't really need them and took them because they were free. I'm really trying to declutter (I may have some mildish hoarding/letting go tendencies). Who better to present with her choice of shiny new kitchen stuff than the hard-working lady who cleans up around all (and I mean ALL) our stuff?!
(I need to go start a thread to help me motivate through some serious clutter clearing. Whenever I think about tackling it, I tend to snuggle under a blanket and read with the cat and dog next to me instead...) |
PP I hope to god you have been drinking. |
That was OP. See, it paid off! |
AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center) was collecting these too. If you have leftover coupons, I'm sure they'd be glad to use them. https://afac.org/ |
