Rental license DC

| Anyone have experience with a rental license in DC? I understand it is a basic safety inspection but anyone actually been through the process and know what it entails and how long it takes? May have to move and rent my DC rowhouse. |

And yet OP gets nothing but crickets. DCUM is a great pace for "experiences", but not for good information. The process is very clear on the website. |

| You can quickly pay and get the license online. Then call 311 to schedule the inspection. When we did it it took three weeks to get the inspection. The inspection was super easy. Look online to see what you need to do to pass it (we had to buy fire extinguishers for each level of our house). |

what kind of license did you get? Can you get a two family license online? |

+1 We got a single business license. The inspection is only the first time. The license is valid for 2 years and you can renew online thereafter. |
