Cokie Roberts: Dems nervously beginning to whisper about her stepping aside...

Anonymous
On NPR this morning Cokie roberts saying there are dems whispering about trying to get hrc to move over and let someone run.

Good.

As dems, almost anyone in the roster would be hammering trump right now.

Move over Hillary for the good of the party

Agreed! And I say this as a Republican who sees no acceptable choice at the moment. If a decent Democrat replaced her, I'd vote Democrat for president for the first time in decades. And millions more like me, I'm sure. Why don't the Hilbots who are twisting themselves into a pretzel to defend her recognize this and encourage her to step down?

I don't know, why can't you understand that she has supporters, not "Hillbots" (that name is seriously weak sauce), who have been excited for her to run since about 2000, and that Cokie Roberts is a conservative. Ooh, a whisper campaign from a conservative. That's news.

It is far too late for this.

Team Hillary should have thought about her health issues before she ran. It was not fair to the American people.

So now the Dems have to live with her.

Trump is going to win.

+1. I'm voting Trump over Hillary, but I'd take Biden, Kerry or Kaine over Trump.

Signed, a Deplorable

Cokie also said she didn't think this was going to happen.

She didn't really stumble. Its just that George Soros coughed and for a moment dropped the puppet strings by mistake.

I'm a Republican and I'm fine with voting for Hillary.

My 78-year-old mother had pneumonia this spring. So did I. It can happen to anyone, it doesn't change my opinion of HRC, nor does it change my #NeverTrump stance.

Same. I'm voting Republican for the first time in my life. I will not vote for Clinton. I would vote for any one of the above options over Trump.

I'm laughing so hard right now. Cokie Roberts, Ms. NPR USA, a conservative? Where did you get that load of bull from, just go back and watch her clips from that last, I don't know, fifty years, and her disdain for anything Republican is front and center. You are an idiot!

OMG remember when Bush senior threw up all over the table at that important meeting, or when he fell down the stairs of Airforce 1? President's can get sick people. JFK battled severe back problems, and FDR was in a wheelchair.

OP failed to mention that Cokie also said that this wasn't likely to happen. Just that there had been whispers about it.

Of course there were whispers. I wonder it myself. But I doubt Hillary is going to back out now. Unless something much more dramatic happens. Pneumonia is not the end of the world.
