Golf is the most boring Olympic sport ever

He shocked the establishment back in the day. Amazing hand eye coordination and strength.

Are you talking in the emotional sense? Like he's emotionally strong? What does that have to do with sports?

Lots of activities require hand/eye coordination. That doesn't make them sports or their participants athletes.

Strength as is swing speed. John Daly could outdrive everyone on the tour and if you think that is easy take your judgmental ass to any driving range and see how far you can even hit a golf ball, not to mention simply hitting the thing.

I get it, golf is not your cup of tea to watch, so don't watch it. But to diminish the skill required to play the game at a high level simply shows ignorance.

And don't forget that this guy won a Super Bowl

power comes not from strength but putting weight behind the swing. That gave Daly an advantage

I think we've determined that not only is golf boring, it's fans are obnoxious as well

Golfs fans did not create this thread denouncing an entire sport. This topic of this thread is obnoxious.

Golfs fans get butthurt when people point out correctly that watching paint dry is more exciting than their chosen pastime. This topic of this thread is spot on.

Me, too.
Golfers play each other all the team, same as tennis. They don't need to do it at the Olympics.

You're thinking is that the other speed sports like swimming and running only race every four years?

Ask a swimmer or runner if they would trade a world championship gold for olympic gold

Now ask a golfer if they would trade a US Open championship for Olympic gold

Ask a tennis player to choose between olympic gold and Wimbledon

That is the point.

Golf is a sport, like croquet is a sport.

I embroidery. It takes a lot of hand eye coordination and finger dexterity

Perhaps that can be an olympic sport too.

Maybe! Take it before the Olympic committee!

I don't know why people get so offended by others saying that golf isn't a sport.

That's great you love your hobby and activity and game, and be proud of that. But it's still not a sport. Why do you take it so personally?
