Redfin Tour Insights - Please tell me things that aren't already in the listing

I wish Redfin insights were only about things you can't tell from the listing. No need to repeat how many bedrooms and bathrooms the property has and call it insight.

They cannot be too frank about the property. I think there was a lawsuit a while back about this same issue. I am sure their comments have to go through an approval process now.

It's basically illegal. If you read between the lines and learn the industry lingo you can get another feel for the property. That's why we prefer when owners provide their own insightful information and aren't limited to a few hundred characters.

Most "insights" seem like just a way for agents to get their name put somewhere.

I actually like when there's insight that parrots back some but not all of the listing. I take it to mean the agent is confirming which parts of the listing are actually true.

there should be a frank dc urban mom thread just for comments on mls postings

Descriptions are limited to a few hundred characters. If you write too much in a description field, you get a dotnet exception when you go to update. Might want to give people a little more warning besides a page full of computer code.

Thanks so much! We had the maxlen set to 4000 when the db was set to 2000. I just fixed it.
