HELP! Silver Spring/DC Infant Care

Anonymous
Hi yall,

I am new to the area and am looking for infant care. I am due Sept. 8 and will be looking for infant care starting mid/end October. I live in Silver Spring and work in DC. I would like to find infant care in the Silver Spring or DC-NW area. Am I too late-I hope not- if so, any advice? I really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Try St Pauls United Methodist Church Children's Development Center at Colston Drive (junct Grubb Road/East West Highway) I now that they are regrouping a lot of children and they might have space. I have two children there and are very satisfied.

Good Luck!

You might check into Easter Seals in Silver Spring, on Spring Street. They just opened in September and have a brand new, state of the art facility. I'd read good things about it on this forum and went for a tour last week and was very impressed with the facility, the curriculum, and the caregivers. Unfortunately as of last week they won't have an infant opening until November, so it won't work for us and we ended up going with a nanny share, but if you get on the wait-list now you might get a spot at the beginning of November. It's $1600 a month for infants.

Try looking out a little further than the usual suspects in downtown Silver Spring. Not sure if SIlver Spring Presbyterian Church on University has any openings. Also, have you tried Monday Morning Moms to look into in-home day care options?
