New to Area: Which Hospital System?

| I'm new to this area and looking for a primary care physician. Is there a benefit for going with one hospital system vs another? Ie: GW vs Georgetown |

| Do you have any conditions where you might need a specialist? If so I'd look at those rankings. If not go with convenience. |

| I don't know about Georgetown, but I would not go with GW. I've been to the ER as well as the Medical Associates offices for various reasons and the docs spent very, very little time with me, particularly specialists. Calling to schedule can take awhile (I've often waited 10 mins and given up), and trying to get any clerical stuff done (like medical records transferred) is a pain. |
