Martial Arts for kids in MoCo?

| Hi! Does anyone have any good recs for martial arts (Tae Kwon Do, Karate, etc) for a 5-6 y.o.? We live in Rockville, MD. Thanks, in advance! |

| We go to BBMAC in Kensington and have been extremely pleased for our 5 year old. |

| We go to Kaizen Karate in NW DC. I think they have several locations, including MOCO. Really like the teachers/program. |

Our 6 YO loves Kicks Karate (Old GTown Rd location, just S of 270).
Energetic and positive instruction, lead instructor is great, and kids work hard. Only caveat is that it is something of a "belt factory"--no one fails. Great for our kid, but some might prefer a different approach. |

I would suggest trying a few places that are very close to you. Nearly every place will allow to you try 1-2 classes for free -- or they offer a free introductory class.
If your child sticks with it, your life will be much easier if the facility is close to home. |
