When are they going to announce that it is cancelled and postponed to next week ?

Once FCPS announces. I think the cancellation is 99.9999999999%.

The announcement said that semifinalists instructions would be emailed out today. Nada. Did anyone get this? I hate to call if they are waiting because of weather.

Potential Inclement Weather on January 23rd

The Admissions Office is following the forecast for Saturday, January 23rd. If there are any changes to test day, we will send out information to families and post information here. Stay tuned.

Wasn't it the class of 2018 (current sophomores) who had it canceled twice due to snow and then a technical glitch and took it from home computers?

Of course I heard this from a current sophomore who is trying to convince my son to go to TJ, so I don't know how much I believe him! Of course another sophmore told my son that different kids take different essays....and that he had to write a 5 page paper (I do know there were odd circumstances in that one)

Last year's class was the one with the huge technical glitch on essays-- lots of kids got to take them home to do, and there was an uproar. Had not hear this about Class of 2018.

Possibly cancelled by the testing center. Will still take current SAT exam on a new date.

I just spoke to the TJ admissions office. They said to expect an e-mail later today with information about SIS administration plans based on projected weather events (which sounds a lot like, we are going to cancel this afternoon, but she didn't say this specifically).

We have received no notice from our Frost adviser nor TJ at this point. Obviously the deadline for submitting Teacher references is still TODAY so get those in asap even if you have not got to speak with your teachers (since you have only had what 3 days in school as a semifinalist).

Update they have been moved to Saturday, February 20th 2016
