Heelys: just right size or more generous for longevity?

DC - 7 wants these for birthday. Any experience? Considering going up a size so will last a full 12 months but wondering if would affect the gross motor when heeling

Mm...I'd go with the ones that fit. You don't want her foot sliding around in there.

I would not get them unless you want to deal with broken bones.

Agree!

And I would do some research on safety issues. Plus they are not allowed in a lot of places - I think that could be really frustrating for you both. I'm envisioning constant battles regarding their use. Have you consider roller skates?

I feel like they run small. My kids love them. No injuries.

Like to go with the one that fits me...

I would buy a larger size and then put insoles in them to make them tighter.

Enjoy your trip to the orthopedist. Why not just go straight to the hoverboard and have it burn your house down?

My 10 yr old has been getting them every year since 5. We always get one size up. Never a problem. But he's extremely coordinated and great balanced.

Oh god. Not Heeleys.
It takes everything I have to not trip each 8 year old that zips past me in a public place.
