Ideas for one-night romantic getaway within 2-3 hrs drive of DC

We only have child care for one night and can't go far ... suggestions on where to go?

Ashby Inn in Paris, VA near Middleburg or Seven Gables Inn in St. Michaels (or Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels if your budget is higher).

We love the Brampton Inn but they might require two nights in a weekend. We also recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton and got a very good weekend rate b

Washington, VA. There is an inn there that is way more affordable than The Inn at Little Washington.

As it gets further into the winter, like late January/February the beach(OC/Rehoboth) is nice and affordable.

Antrim is lovely and is perfect for an overnight. The restaurant is great. Gettysburg is not far if you have some time either day.

Just got back from Rehoboth. It was really nice. Stayed at the Bellmoor and walked on the beach!

Great restaurants, too.

And if you're into a couples' spa day, try "Bad Hair Day" -- really lovely Aveda spa.

Hillbrook Inn in WV. It is very pretty in the snow. We toured a bunch of wineries too.

Nothing at all good about OC. Travel further south to VB instead

I would put VB on par with OC. Nothing really special about either one.
