Maybe use nonlethal tactics to take them down. Which law enforcement has the means to do. This guy had a knife. Having them stand trial is cathartic plus it would be nice for the FBI and others to be able to interview a mass murderer to gain better insight into the mentality. |

I think it is more cathartic to know the person will not do it again. The FBI has pale try of mass murderers to interview. Theses people don't need the FBI they need serious mental health intervention. In a country where people are free to do as they wish, a person in need of mental help does to have to use it. |

What non-lethal means do you want them to use? It's hard to second guess when you are not there and you don't know the situation. From the reports, we know several people were injured and the perpetrator was still in the area and armed. Clearly, you are not an expert because if you were, you would know that a knife is a lethal weapon, and justifies the use of deadly force just as much as a gun under standard deadly force policies. |
