Heading to playa next week for a week of scuba and drinking by the beach.....except I found out yesterday I'm pregnant so both those plans are out the window! That's really all we'd planned for there - other ideas of what to do? I'm not one that can just spend a week laying by a pool, especially if I'm not drinking! |
you can go to Tulum and Xelha, those are both pretty cool.
Playa is lovely. Enjoy it now, and get used to the fact that you won't be drinking for a while or get to do things like you used to do--it's good preparation for being a parent. Doesn't mean you don't do absolutely anything anymore, just have to modify your expectations. |
Spend a day going to Chichen Itza |
snorkeling? sea kayaks? |
Go swimming in cenotes... could easily spend a whole day doing this.... very cool.
Visit the ruins at Tulum... also could be a whole day if you're into the history. Half-day if not. Eat lots of great tacos. And virgin drinks. Snorkel instead of scuba. |
I agree with this. Chichen Itza is much more extensive than tulum from what I understand. There are also some other pretty amazing sites but perhaps too far inland for your purposes. Enjoy just laying around by the pool--without needing to worry about a baby/child....you'll never have this chance again for 18 years (I assume it is your first op?) |
Congrats! |
Xel-Ha is a lot of fun.
If you just found out you're pregnant I bet you'll start getting tired. What I'd give (mom of three) to have a week to relax, sleep in....sounds heavenly!! Enjoy and congrats! |
Seeing the ruins at Coba is cool. You can climb the pyramid there.
As is swimming in one of the many cenotes |
