HELP!! Can anyone provide me personal feedback on Bethesda Country Day School? I have a 3.5 year old daughter that we plan to send there this fall. She would be in the full day (8-6) program. Does anyone have feedback (positive or negative) on the full day program? Are there kids there that actually take part in the full day program?
Thanks so much. |
My daughter currently attends BCDS and is there from 9-5. We have been very happy with the school. The administration is very good about communication, the teachers are all very engaged, creative and excited to be there. I find the after care program to be adequate; I think it would benefit from a bit more structure (particularly in the winter time when the children do not always get outdoor play time) or if they offered some of the enrichment programs at that time. It sounds like our daughters will be in the same class. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to answer them. |
Thanks so much for the information. It is great to hear from someone with a child who is there all day. I have a friend with a son there now in the day program, but he doesn't attend before care or after care. I have read some online complaints (similar to yours) that the after care program leaves a little to be desired in that it isn't as structured. I am not that concerned about that as I am about whether there are other kids that are in the after care program. My daughter is a late September birthday. So, I think she will be in the older threes class starting this fall?
Thanks. |
My dd was at BCDS a couple of years ago (full day).
I have heard mixed reviews from others, but our experience was very positive. My dd loved to go to there. She had great friends and great teachers. I completely agree with the PP. When were there, there were some after school activities (ballet, sports) in the afternoon, but not every day, so that could be improved. |
