Rugrats and rug muchers

Anonymous
DS just searched for "Rugby" on Fios b/c he's into the Rugby World Cup.

The drop down menu comes up with, wait for it:

"Rugby
Rugrats in Paris: The Movving
Rug Munching Girls Go All The Way."

Those are the first three choices.

Lovely.

You know that's based on your browsing history, right?

Not OP, but I don't think so.

I was searching for movies on FIOS for my kid's. I selected Children, then Animated, and movies like Fritz the Cat was showing up. No thank you.

No, it isn't. Don't be obnoxious.

Yeah, FIOS just brings everything up alphabetically, smut and all. As far as I could tell, there was no way to remove adult content from program searches which is moronic.

Haha. Too funny OP.
We have Amazon Prime and it always starts suggesting the kids movies based on what I have started typing. So I think that one is based on what we watch!

We're talking FIOS, not Google.

Could you imagine? Felix the Cat was also a choice, and what if some unsuspecting parent didn't know the difference?

Not OP, but I personally with Amazon and Netflix would stop doing this. Just list shows in order they appear and let you sort by date like Hulu.
And not this "Newest Arrivals" which can be movies/shows that have been on there for a year.

NP here. When I type things into Google I get a mix of prior searches I have made and what I assume are anticipated search terms based upon top searches by other users. No one else uses my laptop, so I'm certain about my search history.

For the love of God people, she was talking about the Fios on-screen TV guide. Not the internet. How many times does it have to be said?
