What does your car say about you?

I think my car and your car would get along. We should have a playdate.

I suggested to my husband that we get one of those new little SmartCars, but he said he didn't like what it might say about him. As far as his shoes, he always buys ones that are two sizes too big.

Is he a runner?

My car says I'm so filthy rich I have FU money.

I guess I should qualify that by saying one is a backless booster. If you need three Roundabouts, your options are doubtless more limited.

Someday my car will talk, but by now he has just the GPS. I think he (yes, mine is a HE) will talk nicely about me because I take him to the car wash often, clean it inside and keep him smelling lavender, roses or citrus.

My car says I have 2 messy little kids. I guess it also says I love music when I'm jammin to my tunes at loud volumes.

My minivan says I have a big family that likes to travel.

My car says I haven't seen any benefit to replacing it since grad. school. Considering its age, it hasn't been driven very much. It is clean but there are a lot of dings that represent the competitive nature of driving and parking in the central-cities we've lived in over the last 11 years. It probably doesn't reflect our household income, but we have better things to spend money on than a newer car, and considering our neighborhood, a larger car wouldn't make any sense because it's already hard enough to find street parking. An off-street parking spot would cost us $30-40k. All in all, having one little car makes life a lot easier sometimes, but investing more than we have to in it would make no sense.

I drive an SUV but it's 10 years old, and I got it in college, and things were different then.

I still think I am a pretty responsible person when it comes to the environment despite my gas guzzler.

First, we are a one car family (DH never owned a car - he bikes) and we purposely bought a house near a metro for that reason. My job involves promoting physical activity initiatives and I "walk the walk" - I walk to almost every meeting when most of my co-workers cab, and to get to work I often walk to the Metro (unless my husband leaves at the same time - he used to bike but our daughter is in daycare in his building - which by the way is a Platinum certified green building - one of only 9 in the country! I feel so good she is in daycare there!)

I also only clean the house with natural products - big fan of vinegar - still wear some of the same clothes I had in high school, get most of our produce from my parents' huge organic garden out in VA, and we also do the obvious stuff like recycling, etc.

If you can find it, try to listen to "Car and Driver" by Bill Morrissey. It's on one of the Car Talk Car Tunes CDs. It's a riot.

I was thinking that. It features gems like....

"I'm a BMW with MD plates.
I have no trouble getting dates."

"A 1982 suburu.
One more semester, then I'm through."

"I'm for import quotas.
I won't park next to no toyotas"

I have no idea what our cars say about us.

We have a 1995 Honda Civic - DH's high school graduation gift from his parents

2002 Yukon Denali - gift from my parents

Just inherited an old Cadillac and some Mercury - don't know what it is but it is HUGE

And DH just bought a Harley

None of these are really our style or cars we selected

You have 4 cars? Where do you keep them?

We have a Mercedes sedan, a Toyota hybrid, and a Honda mini-van -- what does that say about me?

This is ridiculous.
