I read Michael Morton's book and am just flabbergasted that he endured all he did and isn't bitter or angry in the very least.
He is the guy who was wrongly convicted of killing his wife and spend twenty five years doing hard time in prison. After DNA was discovered, he got to use it to fully exonerate himself. He brings up an excellent point in his memoirs. He states that before DNA became available, many people like him have been prosecuted and locked up for decades. Sadly some may have even been executed. |

I was going to LOL at the first comment, but the second one is even funnier. Thanks for the laugh this morning. ![]() |
Still slogging through All The Light We Cannot See...I don't hate it, though. Also read The Painted Girls and then went to the Nat'l Gallery of Art to stare at The Little Dancer sculpture by Edgar Degas which the main character is based on. |

The best of the books I read this summer were:
The Wolf Border Among the Ten Thousand Things and The Children's Crusade |
I read this one too. Thought it was overall good but a bit ponderous in places. |
Girl on the Train |
I judge people who don't read the book first. |

All the Light We Cannot See
The Martian The Sleepwalkers (history) A Spy Among Friends Midnight Riot Last First Snow His Majesty's Dragon Danubia Uprooted Station Eleven |
Just read Big Little Lies, and it looks like they're turning it into an HBO series. It was a good read. Summer style, fluffy, etc. |
