Not much movement of the Waitlist over the past few weeks for Bridges

Anonymous
We are on the waitlist for Bridges and in June and July the waitlist moved a lot but it looks like it has slowed down. The Bridges admin folks said the list should move a lot in August, but it hasn't moved for the last few weeks.

Since this is out first year on the lottery trying to understand how the schools historically have moved through their lists in August/September. I know that there is not a crystal ball and we are likely being antsy, but wanted to see what others have experienced in the past.

It definitely moved much more when school gets closer. They give people less time to decide. I got an offer from Bridges just before school started last year, and there were lots of new children all the way up until count day.

We are right there with you in our Bridges anxiety!

We were in your shoes last year-- just hang on. After school started the list moved quickly. And we got in.

I'm anxiously waiting too! I feel like everyone keeps saying we'll get in, and I'm happy to hear it, I just hate the idea
of starting the year somewhere else and then moving my kid. If I don't start her somewhere else, I worry we will be screwed if bridges doesn't end up getting to us after all. Ugh!

Also, school starts in 3 weeks! Giving parents 5 days to decide if they are in or not seems like a really long time! Let's get this ball rolling already.

Yeah, that's my hope that numbers will start moving more in the next few weeks. We moved down signicantly, so I would be bummed if we dont get in. It just seemed like the waitlist has stopped moving over the last two weeks or so.
