Republicans: How great does it feel to be a Republican right now?!?

Andele, Andele, seƱor Trump! Arriba, arriba! |
This is the reaction of Democrats to the news:

Better him than Jindal... |
Actually, the reason Trump is leading is because he's calling it like it is. Any progressive who thinks things are better off between the rioting, the increased crime and illegal immigration has been smoking too much legal or illegal weed. |
Trump crudely made a generalization about all Latino immigrants, legal and illegal.
His popularity stems from anger over Obama encouraging and facilitating illegal immigration. And no, Obama has not deported more people than Bush; Obama re-defined what he considers a deportation; ie he has fudged the numbers. |

What does Donald Trump believe? Where the candidate stands on 10 issues |
If Obama is "encouraging" illegal immigration, then why, as you claim, would he fudge the numbers to make it look like he his deporting more people? I don't think high deportations would encourage anyone. |
Trump is popular for the same reason as sanders- people are sick of the political establishment. Take notice on both sides of the aisle. |
Let's follow this logic. Obama is responsible for Trump. Trump is sabotaging the Republican Party. Ergo, Obama has sabotaged the Republican Party. This is supposed to be a bad thing? Obama must be even more brilliant than previously believed. |
"Calling it like it is" only as viewed from a grotesquely small, shortsighted, bigoted, paranoid, narcissistic and delusional mind. Doesn't say much for those supporting him... |
People are tired of being lied to about immigration- they see the unmitigated flow of illegals into their communities and they are tired of the lies from politicians - both republicans and democrats. |
I believe you are confused; I am not the on who posted the thread on "crazy trump conspiracy." Further, I don't consider Trump a serious candidate since he has no political experience holding office. I am merely pointing out that his popularity stems primarily from Obama's failure to meanifully deal with the border crisis and othe Obama moves that many believe are encouraging illegal immigration. If you believe Obama is so tough on illegal immigration, start your own thread. This thread is about Trump and why he is leading in the polls. Why is that, if not immigration? |
I agree that his primary appeal is his straight-talk approach. He is a stark contrast to the other candidates on both sides of the aisle. However, I have significant doubts that the content of his message will hold up long term in a national campaign. |
It appears that you are he one who is confused. I didn't mention immigration at all. So, why would I want to start a thread on the topic? You are the one insisting that Trump is popular as a result Obama's policies. In other words, Obama is responsible for Trump's popularity. Given that Trump is presenting a serious problem for the Republican Party, I fail to see how that result could be considered bad by Obama or Democrats. it is actually pretty clever to simultaneously implement your policies and sabotage the opposing party. |
