Eid gift ideas?

I'd like to get a little Eid gift for one of my son's teachers next week. Normally, I'd bake something, but we see her on Thursday, and I'd feel weird giving her food while it's still Ramadan. Any cute little ideas?

Im sure she'd appreciate anything really, depends on what type of person she is and what she likes, but even just a card is thoughtful and appreciated. Also, the cake idea is not bad at all, she can eat it at Iftar ( when we break our fast), since she does eat every night, it could be a good dessert

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

Thanks, Muslima. I'd still feel mean bringing her a cake in the morning and her to have to look at it all day!. But, maybe you're right. I could make chocolates, which she could stick in the fridge, and eat at Iftar, or save till eid. Somehow that doesn't bother me as much as bringing in cookies or something! I'll look for a card tomorrow. Thanks!

Oh you shouldn't feel that way. Fasting is such a spiritual experience that looking at food or other people eating, shouldn't bother her much, it's all in your mind. Plus everything tastes better at Iftar, so she will love those chocolates

Really? Because I had a Muslim coworker who used to complain about people drinking coffee at their desks during Ramadan. Was she just a prima donna?

You can do a bag/platter/box of foods that is sealed that she can eat in the evening or the next day.

Fasting Muslim. I agree. That is not a normal way to react at all! I never resented or complained about others eating around me. That would've been completely inappropriate and unfair!

Thanks! I fast during Lent and it never occurred to me to care what others were doing, so it was a head-scratcher. I didn't know her well, so I wasn't sure if it was rude or just her personality.
