I'm a bit sympathetic actually. It would suck to have a utility pole installed like that dead center of your front yard. I don't blame them for trying to get it moved a few feet to the side... that seems like a reasonable request:

I agree. We have them in our yards in Arlington, but they typically in between the lots. It looks intentionally bad. |
