What scene from what movie makes you cry ...

... no matter how many times you watch it?

For me, it's the graveyard scene in Forrest Gump when he's talking to Jenny's gravestone and telling her about little Forrest growing up and how smart he is. OMG, instant waterworks! And I've seen this movie, what, 3 dozen times??

The scene in Terms of Endearment where Deborah Winger is lying in the hospital bed and it's understood that she's not going to beat cancer, and she's talking to her mom about the future of her kids.

From Terms of Endearment:

--Shirley MacLaine's, "Give my daughter the SHOT!!!!" scene.

--Debra Winger saying goodbye to her kids.

--Shirley MacLaine hugging Jeff Daniels after Debra Winger dies saying, "I was so stupid. I thought I would be relieved."

I pretty much sob for the last 30 minutes of the movie. I think it's gotten worse since I've had kids.

I have to agree with Terms of Endearment. I saw it before I had kids. There is NO WAY I could make it through the good-bye scene between her and her sons without weeping.

And I am not a crier

Changeling - the whole last half of the movie! A mix of tears, disgust and disbelief.

Damn Steel Magnolias still gets me every time.

Steel Magnolias - the "my daughter will never..." speech

The awful scene in Sophie's Choice. As a PP described, there is no way I can even think about watching that now that I have kids (an older boy and younger girl, just like in the film).

The scene in "Gallipolli" where the Aussie soldiers are looking at the photos of their loved ones before going over the trenches into certain death by machine gun fire.

I cried my eyes out during The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, at the end when Baby Benjamin dies....OMG. And I'd read the screenplay so I KNEW it was coming...

The end of "The Notebook," when Gena Rowlands and James Garner die together, holding each other. I'm a basket case.

Any scene from a Hindi film.

Kinda corny, but the part in "Father of the Bride" (the Steve Martin one) where, on his daughter's wedding day, he flashes back to carrying her as a child.
Also, the part in "The Namesake" when the main character's father is walking out on the pier
The entire Joy Luck Club

I generally avoid these kinds of movies!

Beaches, I sob

Sophie's Choice -- I'm like the PP, there's no way in hell I could watch it now with kids

In the World According to Garp, when Garp - with his jaw wired shut - and his wife - in a neck brace - tell each other "I miss you" after not having spoken to each other for months after the death of one of their sons.

Like other PPs, don't think I could watch this movie now that I have kids. Way too sad.
