Help me pick between hotel suites

DH and I are headed to Costa Rica. It will be our first vacation in 2 years.

Option 1:
Villa with a large deck and two person bath tub on the deck. Hammock.

Option 2:
Villa with a shower in the bathroom. Private plunge pool in the back and no tub. It appears that the plunge pool is in a pretty shady corner.

I'm wondering if people actually use their plunge pool when they could use the big hotel pool....

Never done anything this fancy, so I was wondering if people had idea.
