Summer "camp" at CCBCCC for 2 year olds?

I'm considering summer "camp" for my 2.5 year old this summer at CCBCCC (http://www.ccbccc.org/summercamp.html). This will be my son's first experience with any kind of daycare environment, and I want to be sure his first exposure is a good one. He'll be going for 3 days a week.'

Does anyone have any opinions good or bad about CCBCCC in general or specifically about the summer programs?

Thanks so much!

CCBC is great. My little one loves the school and the camp. The summer program is a little less structured than the school year, but many of the teachers and aides are the same so the activities they are doing really engage your child in learning through play. Two ideas: (a) since it is his first experience, I would make sure the teachers are aware of it (they are great with helping kids with the transition) and also ask for a camp list and try to set up a playdate or two ahead of time; and (b) I don't think that age group starts outside, but i would find out ahead of time if it does. my child started outside for camp last year and did fine, but I thought that would have been difficult for me as a child, and it was hard for some of the kids. inside or out, my kid naturally does the same thing every morning -- I think it is a natural coping mechanism. I would think about developing a ritual goodbye with your child, and also encouraging the child toward one activity in a.m. so he can ease into the situation. Good luck.

Oh thanks so much for all the tips... I hadn't thought of playdates with the children he'll be meeting. I had hoped to get Peter into the 4 week Under the sea class, but it's full already...aagh...so I'm left with the 3 week class...I hope I get him in...

Once again, thanks fo the tips!
