Rihanna and Chris Brown- back together again- HORRIBLE role models! action!

Rihanna is really young, too, and probably faces lots of crazy in her life.

What would you do if your husband came home and hit you tonight? Would you leave, immediately, and forever?

No, not before I called a got a head start, called a lawyer, and emptied out the bank account. I would make him wish that he had killed me instead, but he already knows this, he would tell you the same thing. I definitly will not raise my daughers to be punching bags, that is just plain old parenting 101.

The night that my husband came home and hit me, I called the police. They arrested him that night. I packed all his shit in a large garbage bag and put it out on the front porch for him to come pick up once he was out. Filed for divorce 3 months later. My children and I are much happier today.

As with any bad habit or abusive pattern, it's easier said than done to make a change. It takes courage, strength, and will power to do right, and some people don't know how to find it in themselves. They both need help and I hope they seek it out.

Oh I love that part! Or the part in What's Love Got To Do With It, where Tina kicks Ike's ass in the limo and then runs for it.

...Or maybe you'd do what I did and sit stunned in disbelief that a man "like that" could do that to "a woman like me."

You cannot believe everything that you read in the media and have such a strong opinion like they are your friends.

They are 19 year old young adults. Whatever I would do in that situation is not what I would have done at 19.

The lesson in the story for all of us - is to teach your children not to idolize pop stars. They are human beings who make mistakes just like me and you. Teach your children that Rihanna, Chris Brown, Hannah Montana are all created characters.

Teach your children to love themselves, have a strong sense of self, not to idolize other humans, and to never ever tolerate being abused. Use this as a teaching moment not a judging moment. Teach them how to show love and you role model loving relationships in your own home. Teen dating violence is at an all time high and it is not just guys hitting girls.....but guys as victims too.
