home day care provider located in falls church city has an opening

Hi Everyone,
I am transitioning my daughter to pre-school, so that my leaves my current day care provider with an opening come April 1. She is in Falls Church City and i have been bringing my daughter to her for almost 2 years. She is very loving and I have been happy with her. Hi Beth,
I'm going to be looking for daycare for my son mid-summer, but I'm wondering how you originally found Shoba. Did you use the Infant/Toddler placement service or was it just a personal referral? Any tips for starting the child care search? My husband and I anticipate moving to the Falls Church area, and are trying to figure out the best way to approach looking for child care. My husband and I are in East Falls Church (close to the Calico Corners on Williamsburg St.) and are looking for in-home daycare options around our area. Is the Shoba located close to this area at all? If so, we'd be interested in finding out more. Thanks so much! |

| I would say you're probably 10 minutes away (give or take in traffic). She lives off of Route 7 across from the shopping center that has OHOP, Jerry's and a Starbucks. Hope this helps! |

| I think I know the one you mean, the Broaddale center, there's a Hair Cuttery and an H&R Block in there as well, right? That's very close to us. I'll definitely give her a call. Thank you so much for your help! |

Hey Beth, we probably cross when we're dropping the kids off, but haven't met in person. I use Ms. Shoba too, and really like her.
To others that are interested, she took care of my daughter for 3 years, and now watches my son. She is in Falls Church City near the corner of Arlington (just a few minutes from the Calico Corners someone asked about). I drop off my son and then drive to the nearby West Falls Church Metro. I found her by going through the licensed providers at the Falls Church City Web site. I cold called several places and settled on her home after interviewing her. Her whole family is great with the kids. She's been a blessing and extremely reliable. Good luck with your search! |

My wife and I just moved to the City of Falls Church. We have a 12 week old and looking for child care by the middle of April. We have looked at Nannies however looking at child care provider. Could you give me some addtional info on this provider. Thanks, Dennis |
