| We will be listing our semi detached home in FH in late March. Give us a few months to make it shine, then come in and renovate to your hearts desire. Likely asking $775. |
| There are plenty of homes in Janney, Murch, Lafayette and Hearst school districts under 8. On the small side and not always top-of-the-line but nice enough/ livable. |
One of our 3 bedrooms is 7x9. My teen DS sleeps in there, so we actually do find it very useful, lol. I used this as a guide for furnishing it: http://www.home-designing.com/2010/12/small-floorspace-kids-rooms And it is honestly one of my favorite rooms in the whole house. He loves it. |

Thanks for the link! We have small bedrooms- not quite 7x9 and I can never find real design ideas for that space for kids.

I am in love and want to furnish my whole small house like that. Where'd you find similar furniture? (NP here who, by the way, owns a lovely house EOTP that would sell for under 700k today) |
Would be very interested in seeing you house. Would you be able to let me know when it is on the market? Maybe we can find a win-win situation. |
I'd be surprised if that goes for less than $830. It's TINY, yes, but still. |

So are Colonial Village and Shepherd Park still guaranteed to go Deal-Wilson after Shepherd ES?
I thought it was zoned Shepherd-Deal-Coolidge, BUT if you went to Deal you were guaranteed entrance to Wilson. Not sure how that changed, if at all. I guess DC is a far different world, where $200k salaries are thrown around like candy -- or do we just have a bunch of people subsidized by Mom/Dad or living above their means? |
And that house sold in less than 6 days- so they certainly had multiple offers and got over asking price. |
Actually, homes in SP currently start in ~$650-700K range, but are definitely not renovated at that price. We bought in the $700-750K range over a year ago--our SFH has close to original bathrooms, tiny closets, and the kitchen was renovated ~15 yrs ago. But, great block and neighborhood. To get close to fully renovated, you'd probably be looking at $800-950K starting range, depending on exact location within Shepherd Park. |
Yes. Right now it's zoned Shepherd-Deal-Coolidge, but as you said attending Deal guarantees entrance to Wilson. After the boundary revisions go through, Shepherd Park/Colonial Village will be zoned Shepherd-Deal-Wilson. |
But can you count on nothing being rezoned by the time your kids enter high school? |
Also in love with those room designs. Where do I find this furniture? |
