At least one tiny silver lining in the midst of this misery.

^Le Monde quotes him as saying that:

"I didn't save Jews, I saved human beings."

About his employer:
"They never made a single comment about my religion. They've been like a second family to me."

About his adopted country:
"France is a beautiful country where it's easy to assimilate, where they will take care of [your health] even if you have nothing."

His accent is so thick that his French is at times difficult to understand (and I'm a native speaker). I can't imagine he has never been the target of racist remarks. What an amazing attitude!

What an amazing, selfless, individual. He seems to appreciate what he has. I think we all have a lot to learn from him.

France did this right. I'd like to see us do the same for illegals who step up to the plate in extraordinary ways.

The first step in "doing it right" would be not to use the pejorative phrase "illegals" when describing people.

I'm sure you have done something illegal at least once in your life, so by this logic, you are also illegal.....

And, those of us who have broken laws, whether they be traffic laws, tax laws, or any other kind of laws, and are caught doing so are penalized in some way.
Yet, the illegals in this country who are caught are actually rewarded. What a system!!!!

The ones who are caught go to jail as well. That's what INS does....

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

Ha ha ha ha. You haven’t been paying attention. I guess you are unfamiliar with Obama’s recent executive order....

Not only do they NOT go to jail... they are also given benefits that are supposed to be for citizens like free education, free healthcare, and other free or reduced services.
Just ONE article....

Conservative have been complaining about immigrants since my family got off the boat a hundred years ago. Nothing changes, just the justification. It's interesting to see the oldies come back in style though, like IQ.

As a conservative, I have no problem with immigrants. My problem is with ILLEGAL immigrants. These people haven’t been vetted, haven’t been tested or vaccinated for diseases that have all but become history in this country, and they haven’t proved that they have the means to support themselves.
Immigration - yes
Illegal Immigration - hell no.
