Just think, if he were Middle Eastern it would be Breaking News every hour on the hour and the top story for debate/discussion of every political commentary program on all the major networks. DOMESTIC TERROR PLOT UNCOVERED!!! POSSIBLE LINK TO ISIS!!! But he's not Middle Eastern so...eh, who cares.

Then blame the news for shaping our views.

To be honest, however, if some bland dude from the US can be swayed, look how powerful Islam can be in recruiting vulnerable folks.

So it IS a story we'll see again and again.

I, for one, take it seriously.

He's a mentally ill white boy...we have lots of those in the US (because we don't have sufficient mental health care or a way for parents to secure treatment for their sick kids once they hit 18...it's sad)...and this kid didn't succeed with his plot...he's in custody and will be locked up...what more should be reported?

So sad that religion warped this guy into attempting something so evil. He changed his name, too (to something silly...is there a white trash version of Muslim names that terrorists are using for American recruits?).

Switching gears, there was a young twenty-something white boy who changed his name to something Muslim and disappeared early last year. No clue what happened to him. That's a story Id like the media to pursue. Did he leave the country to train with the crazies? Did he join a cell somewhere in the US?
