Any feedback on Dr. Thomas Pinckert at Greater Washington Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Genetics appreciated. Thanks! |
He is fantastic! Great bedside manner and one of the best in his field. |
I saw both Drs. Pinckert and Mattea after some complications with my first pregnancy, and they were great. I thought the whole office was top notch-- really well-run, friendly, and the doctors are terrific. |
I echo PPs. I am currently a patient of GWMFM and Dr. Pinckert is by far my favorite doc (the others are good too, but he shines!). He is very knowledgeable, has a very reassuring demeanor and a healthy sense of humor to boot. I am also impressed with the practice generally - I have never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment, they are always friendly and helpful. |
I saw Dr. Pinckert for an ultrasound b/c of increased risks of facial deformities. He was amazing, actually everyone in the office was so great, it was one of my best medical experiences ever. My increased risk was due to a very strong medication I take for Bipolar disorder - taking it throughout my pregnancy was a huge source of stress. Dr. Pinckert had experience w/ this drug and told me I did the exact right thing by staying on it - I cannot tell you how much hearing that eased my mind. A great MD! |
I had an amnio with Dr. Pinkert after a bad screening result. He was fantastic. Truly. The whole experience was so frightening, and he and his staff were just top notch. They were professional, compassionate, and just excellent. |
I echo the previous posters. Saw him earlier in my pregnancy and he was great - very competent, knowledgeable, and warm. He is one of the area's most experienced MDs at CVS and amnio and he made a very nervewracking decision and procedure as smooth as it could be. |
My primary OB referred me to Dr. Pinckert after my 20 week sonogram showed I was already dialating. As all have already said, he is excellent. I had a cerclage put in and continued having 2 sonograms per month until I delivered. Also excellent is Dr. Michael Gallagher who is in the same practice. as Dr. Pinckert. The office staff is top notch, everyone is very pleasant and professional, and I was really happy with the care that they provided. I went to the office at Holy Cross Hospital - there is another location in Rockville. |
Drs. Pinckert and Gallagher are great. I also saw Dr. Hodor, an MFM specialist (high risk OBGYN), who also has offices near Shady Grove and Holy Cross, and he is an amazing doctor! |
Dr. Thomas Pinckert is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever had the privilege of seeing. I am due to deliver my baby Feb. 1 and have seen him monthly since last August for a CVS test, monthly sonograms, and now weekly tests prior to delivery. I was referred to him by my OBGYN because I am 45 and having my first baby. The whole staff is absolutely wonderful and supportive - as others have said, there is usually no wait at all, but most importantly, the care received is superb. Dr. Pinckert combines his national reputation in his field with one fofthe best bed-side manners I have ever encountered. My only wish is that he could be my regular OB-GYN! Don't hesitate -- go to him! |
I'm seeing Dr. Pinckert right now for my high-risk pregnancy. I agree with everything the previous posters have said about him. He's warm, easy to talk with and extremely knowledgeable. My only complaint is with his receptionists. I have found them to be incredibly rude and grumpy. Apparently he's had some recent staff changes because a friend of mine who saw him about a year ago raved about his staff. Obviously, it's a relatively trivial issue because Dr. Pinckert and the other physicians in his practice are wonderful, but I want to warn you that when you initially call the office, you may be dealing with a very difficult receptionist. But again, a small price to pay. |
My husband and I went to the Rockville office and did experience perhaps the same receptionist who was not as helpful and cheerful as I had come to know at Dr. Pinckert's other office at Holy Cross in Silver Spring. I usually go the Silver Spring office -- everyone there is incredibly kind -- and the receptionist even greets me in the hallway by name without my record in front of her. So, if you have a chance, try to go to the Silver Spring office if it convenient for you. I can't say enough about that office -- a real comfort and relief after the 2141 K Street OBGYN group. Without Dr. Pinckert's care that I had in addition to my regular OBGYN, I would defintely have changed to another OBGYN. |
I'm the one who posted about the bad receptionists at Dr. Pinckert's office. I want to clarify that I have only been to the Rockville office. Sounds like the Holy Cross staff is much, much better. |
