They're warm and sticky and moist, like raw meat. I'm worried because she is staying here with us and insists on kissing the children on the mouth. We don't do that in our family. Every night, my stomach is just churning as I lie in bed as she "tucks in" my teenage children and my 9 year old by kissing them on the mouth. I said something to DH and he just shrugged. WWYD? |
If your kids don't have an issue with it, why do you? She's not kissing you. |
Which cheeks? |
It could be a thick wrinkle cream product. I have stuff from clinique.... |
![]() Sounds like eczema, OP. not a damn thing she can do about it. |
I'd remind your children that if anyone does anything that makes them uncomfortable they can and should speak up. If your kids don't care, then you should try to get over it. |
OP here. Ok. But she does kiss me too. I am just really not comfortable with it. I don't want to sound mean here but it just makes my stomach churn. |
Gross. I also hate mouth kissing. I had premature twins and my ils started a war about this. I still get so angry. They also refused to wash their hands. It's an unnecessary, gross way to show affection. |
Yikes! Ew! How long will she be there? |
Have DH tell her that you're not comfortable with it. I know, kind of a wimpy way to address it, but it'll hurt more coming from you, I'd think. My ILs want the big hug when you see them, big hug good night, big hug when they leave. I don't want to embrace them three times in 18 hours. I'm a grouch, though. |
She kisses you on the mouth? |
platonic mouth kissing YUCK
I fear and loathe hugs with my FIL |
Just fake a cold every time she's around, and tell her that you don't want kissing until the cold clears up. |
My FIl does this. Ew. I turn at the last minute and give him my cheek. |
I'm a huggy, cheek kissy kind of person, but mouth kissing in law is not for me. |
