Hobbies and interests

What are the hobbies and/or interests that you make time to pursue? Btn work and kids I feel I've lost the part that is "me" a bit and find when I do have a few extra minutes I waste them surfing the interet. I'm looking for some inspiration to help me get my spark back!

I cross-stitch. I never know what to do with the finished products, but I find it immensely soothing and satisfying. I read that we humans are pre-programmed to get satisfaction out of this sort of handicraft. Lots of my friends knit or crochet.

I wish I still loved to read, like I did when I was a teenager. I just devoured books when I was younger. Now, I don't have the attention span for more than a metro ride's worth of reading. Plus, I've gotten so impatient with bad writing, and there's just so much of it.

Looking forward to hearing what other people do in this vein.

I've given up all hobbies and it's really pathetic. I used to be so interesting.

My DC is two now, and I'm just starting to get back into some "me" time.

I used to do biking, photography, piano, travel, swimming, cooking....

I'd love to hear some more ideas about what people can fit into their lives, maybe I'll get some inspiration.

Use to hike, bike, read, listen to music, go sailing, eat great food, see concerts, movies, blah blah blah...

Now my hobbies include cleaning house and changing diapers. Interests include but are not limited to what I am making for dinner, when the toddler will fall asleep, and how much I can get done in between. I am one mean puzzle picker upper putter backer.

I didn't get back into my hobbies until the youngest was 2. Painting and dancing. And I didn't completely feel like myself again until I did!

Hubby's hobby is camping...so that's something the whole family can part take in.

Start small. Find one thing you want to do and try adding that to your weekly schedule at least once a week.

I have a 6-month-old. My interests are music, reading, movies, and, yes, television. I think I'm going to take up knitting or cross-stitch or even jigsaw puzzles so I can have something to do with my hands (that's not surfing the internet) while we watch TV or movies at night.
