Can't find a mom's group

| I want to join a mom's group, but they seem to either cost money, require you to "register"/write a bio, or be mostly playgroup oriented (I've searched through a ton of the posts here). I just want to meet other women to get together with and socialize, exercise, etc. Can anyone suggest one, or does anyone want to start one? |

Novamoms, MONA, MOPS, MomsRising...just google moms group + area and you'll get a ton of hits |

OP here- thanks for all of your suggestions. I am looking them all up now...
I live in Northern Virginia (south Arlington), and it can be with or without kids I suppose. |

| Start one! When I moved back to the DC area and located in Silver Spring, I didn't know anybody and I was at home with my baby boy. I just posted a message here and DC urban moms and started the playgroup. I ended staying for less than a year but I've made two mums who are now my best friends. Just state what you are looking for and you'll be surprised how other mums in your area might be looking for the same type of interaction. Good luck! |
