Poor scheduling of Fairfax Parktakes water activities

Just venting. It seems the county parks/rec centers don't want their taxpaying citizens to attend. Only the unemployed, retired or kids. There is one class at lunchtime and most of the evening classes are when follks are working. What gives?

?? Evening is not when most folks are working.

Um, people who are unemployed or retired, and the parents of those kids, are still paying sales tax, and likely paying personal property tax and/or real estate tax. And probably are still paying fees for the actual classes.

Either way, though, the classes are probably scheduled at those times because that's when people sign up. Lots of people who work still find evening classes inaccessible because their work schedules and/or child care schedules are unpredictable.

I see several in the catalog that start in the 6:30-7:30 time frame. Since these are typically 55 minute classes, that means the instructor isn't finishing class until 7:30-8:30. How late do you expect them to be willing to work to accommodate your work schedule? They can only schedule classes when they have instructors willing to teach.
