Commute from Falls Church to Greenbelt MD M-F? Advice?

| I will soon be starting a commute from Falls Church City to Greenbelt, MD Monday-Friday. I will be in Greenbelt 9-5 or 8-4. What is this commute like? Which routes would you suggest? I won't be able to do HOV at all and will be driving, no metro/bus. |

| I commute from Tysons to New Carrollton. I have learned to always take 495 south all the way around. 495 north is just too unpredictable. It may usually be 10 min faster but on the days it isn't, it can be 2 hrs. Going through the city usually takes about the same time as going all the way around, but also has unpredictability issues. |

| Always take 495 south. DH drives from Wolftrap to Greenbelt and often it takes him 2 hrs. We are moving. |

495 south from FC to Alex in the AM is usually good. |
