FSBO showings

We have been trying for weeks to arrange to see a FSBO, but he owner keeps suggesting odd times like 7pm or early on weekdays. Almost feels like they don't want to see it to us!

These are not abnormal times. He likely has a job and since it is a FSBO needs to be home to let you in. 7PM sounds like a normal time to look at house for buyers that work.

7 pm seems like a normal time to look at a house. This person probably has a job and has to arrange showings around that. I got more annoyed when we were showing our house (through an agent) and had the house available all day and people wanted to see it at night. when you have a toddler, it's hard to not come home in time for an 8:00 bedtime. (bad enough we had to clear out during weekend naptimes.)

Those don't sound like odd times. What times are you trying to see it?

Echoing PPs. This FSBO just has a full-time job and is only available to do showings during the hours he's not in his office. Have you tried scheduling a showing during a weekend?

Doesn't mean you cannot check out the neighborhood any other time to see what it is like. We went to see a house years ago. Some guy pulled up across the street, parked in the driveway, offensive rap music blaring for at least five minutes. We passed on the house.

7pm is a popular time to see a house. I think 5-7 are the peak showing hours since most people work and want to tour after work.
