They are movie actors. Why does their opinion matter more than your opinion or mine? Those two actors opinions are certainly not worth a big announcement any more than if it was my neighbor's down the street.

Because usually, people don't care about anonymous people posting on a forum, but celebrities, head of states and people who have a big following can voice these messages and get heard better than you and I. It is for that same reason that the UN uses celebrities as ambassadors, not for their looks......

But they really aren't even celebrities, just actors.

They are also not known for being great minds, humanitarians, philanthropists, well educated or anything notable besides acting.

So they are mediocre actors with a twitter account. Big deal.

Kind of an amusing putdown of two gifted and talented artists when you juxtapose with the praise of Howard Stern, a porn-addled shock jock, on another thread.

What on earth are you talking about and what does Howard Stern have to do with anything important?

Howard Stern is of equal importance as Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. All three are entertainers. You could actually argue that Stern is much more influential because millions of people listen to his radio show everyday. Personally, I could not care less what any of them think about world affairs. Penelope is hot, Howard is funny, and I am indifferent regarding Javier.

You may want to take note that Argentina welcomed thousands of Nazi war criminals into the country after WWII. Anti-Semitism is still very rampant and widespread in that country. I am not a defender of Israel's recent actions, but you need to be aware of Argentina's bias and history regarding Jews.
I agree. I wish more posters would educate themselves before posting. South America and especially Argentina were a haven for WW 2 nazi war criminals.

The oldest DCUM ploy in the book is to suggest that everyone who disagrees with you is but a single poster. Please try to be a bit more original.

I never said if I agree or disagree with her.

I just noticed a prolific number of anti Israel or pro Palestine threads clogging up the recent topics feed these past few days or so.

They are all started in the exact same way with the exact same writing style. Then muslima pops in l, usually almost immediately, and begins to post responses over and over. This is on every single thread about this topic.

It is like the BO poster, starting threads and then repeatedly responding to them.

This just seems like the same thing and makes me wonder if she is starting all these threads.

Perhaps you view any thread started about the Israeli-Gaza situation as the "same old, same old"? Only Jeff knows, but it seems clear there are multiple posters who've started threads on the topic, likely emboldened by the fact that Jeff has done so himself.

The Salem witch trials also took place in Massachusetts, so perhaps should view the US support of Israel with that history in mind.

Not the PP but keep in mind that posters only offer opinions and no one here is an ultimate authority regardless how many threads one starts, how many posts one makes. Doesn't matter which side they're on.

I think you should know by now that I am not scared to take a stand. I could've very well stayed Anonymous if I just wanted to open a bunch of threads and sock puppet. I don't have time for that......

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

You obviously don't appreciate good movies. I would not call Bardem mediocre. He starred in: No Country for Old Men, Skyfall, Before Night Falls, and Love in the time of Cholera to name a few. Magnificient actor.

right
right

And that makes him the anti-Israel role model.

And Band Aid ended world hunger.

I don't think this is the case but if you're really concerned then ask the moderator.

You are pathetically stupid. As bolded earlier, I was responding to your trite post calling Javier a mediocre actor. Get a grip woman. You are so caught up in your defense of Israel and their Nazi tactics that you cannot see anytnhng else.

Argentina also welcomed many thousands of Jews to the country.

Argentina eliminated their African population by either intermarriage or deportation. There are almost no pure blacks in Argentina now--only biracial and metztiso .

It is a bigger problem for most Argentinians. But she is sending a message that she views potential support of Israel by Argentinian citizens as supporting terror. Other governments, including our own, make similar determinations.

Someone asked me offline about whether Muslima was starting threads anonymously. So, since it is also being discussed here. As best I can tell, Muslima started two threads in the Politics Forum anonymously:

http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/400740.page
http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/400815.page

Both of those were started before she registered for a username. Since she registered, she has only started threads under her username.

Let me assure you that my dislike for sock puppets is apolitical. I will not tolerate sock puppets of any political persuasion.
