Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Take a Stand Against Israel

I wish more American entertainers who can influence popular opinion were as courageous:

Will they also get death threats like Zayn Malik?

Good for them.

Also, Magic Johnson cancels participation in opening a sports arena in Israel.

Great! Whenever movie stars weigh in, we know a solution is soon to follow.

Argentina’s President Christina Kirshner has declared that her country will revoke the Argentinian citizenship from every citizen with the possession of both Argentinian and Israeli passports. “This new law will make it impossible for any Argentinian to serve in the Israeli army which is assassinating innocent people and children” stated her spokesman.

What's it like being Muslim? Well, it's hard to find a decent halal pizza place and occasionally there is a hashtag calling for your genocide...

You may want to take note that Argentina welcomed thousands of Nazi war criminals into the country after WWII. Anti-Semitism is still very rampant and widespread in that country. I am not a defender of Israel's recent actions, but you need to be aware of Argentina's bias and history regarding Jews.

Argentina also welcomed many thousands of Jews to the country.

Yes, but can they find Israel on a map?

They are movie actors. Why does their opinion matter more than your opinion or mine? Those two actors opinions are certainly not worth a big announcement any more than if it was my neighbor's down the street.

Because usually, people don't care about anonymous people posting on a forum, but celebrities, head of states and people who have a big following can voice these messages and get heard better than you and I. It is for that same reason that the UN uses celebrities as ambassadors, not for their looks......

But they really aren't even celebrities, just actors.

They are also not known for being great minds, humanitarians, philanthropists, well educated or anything notable besides acting.

So they are mediocre actors with a twitter account. Big deal.

Nope.

Just get annoyed when someone announces an actor's tweet, retweet or fb post as some grand and profound statement on significant world events.

So it would seem.

Anyone urging others to get out of their comfort zone and take a stand that might help save the lives of innocent civilians is to be commended.

There are plenty of experts, some self-identified. Maybe we need more prominent non-experts speaking up for humanity.
