Has anyone tried hellofresh.com? Seems to be similar to plated, etc. Seems expensive, but I have a coupon code for $40 off, so I'm willing to give it a try if its decent. Also if its easy to cancel online - if I need to call and get hassled about wanting to cancel, I'm going to avoid altogether. Thanks for feedback. |
They'll spam your inbox. The box I ordered arrived spoiled. The recipes were "meh" at best. I'd avoid HelloFresh.
I liked Plated, but my favorite was Blue Apron. I thought the recipes were things I could actually replicate myself, and the portions were a better value. |
Thanks for your feedback!! |
That's disappointing. I have a coupon too. |
I've used Hello Fresh and Blue Apron. I've had a positive experience with Hello Fresh. I think the portion sizes are good--I can usually stretch the two person meal to feed 2 adults and two little ones. The recipes are a bit more simplistic than Blue Apron, but take less time and seem more appealing to my younger kids.
That being said, I have paused it for the summer because they don't pack it with enough ice packs to keep the proteins cold. That's why the switch to Blue Apron, who uses 3x the number of ice packs. |
I recently posted about my experience with fitfoodsnova.com. If you are in the Reston, Arlington, Fairfax, Ashburn area you should try it out. The meals are already cooked and they deliver. I haven't tried hellofresh.com though. |
