| DH wears a 31" waist pants. We can deal with him being an off size b/c some stores do sell 31" dress pants or we can get them tailored. But belts are another story. Anyone know of someone who sells off size belts? If he gets a 32" belt, the holes are not in the right place and belts I've found only come in even sizes. Too bad those awful woven leather belts aren't in fashion. |
| Can you make your own belt hole? |
| Or get one with a friction buckle? |
| My husband wears size 33 pants and we have never had this issue. He has 3 or 4 belts. 2 I bought at Ernest Alexander online and 1 I got at Salvatore Feragamo. I just buy a 34 and he uses one of the holes that were on the belt when we got it. |
| my husband is the same size. try some of the mall stores that sell for older teens as well. you def won't have a problem with european sizes. just go down one size and wear the belt bigger than trying a 32. |

You can buy a tool for punching holes in leather, or take it to a shoe repair shop. They can probably even shorten the belt, if you really want, so it doesn't overlap so much.
He might also consider a woman's belt. A medium woman's belt would probably work well. Try Ralph Lauren. |

Custom leather belts. Select the size and how far apart you want the other holes. English bridle leather is thicker and firmer than calf skin, but can be just as dressy. |
OP here. Didn't realize there was such an option. With a little googling, I was able to find ratchet belts. I think we might give that a try. They look dressy enough for work and allow a more custom fit. Thanks! I don't want to punch extra holes in a belt b/c that never looks as nice. It's not just about holding his pants up, but it's gotta look good. |
| I don't understand. Don't all belts have holes one inch apart or so? |
| Punch a hole in it in the right spot. |
You're welcome... it's what the military has been using for years. |
| Have you looked at the belts at Beltology? I've been thinking about getting my DH one--they don't use holes. |
