What can you tell me about Bannockburn??

| We are about to seal the deal on a house we love (like crazy love) in Bannockburn. It is further out than I originally wanted, but the community, pool and clubhouse kind of have me sold. Is the elementary school a happy place, and do families hang out, let children roam free?? Thanks! |

Yes...I have had that response since finding out about this community. It is officially Bethesda, very close to Glen Echo Park, within 495.

| Yes - it is in the DC area, it's part of Bethesda. I am not in Bannockburn, but nearby, in the Bannockburn Elementary school boundary. I have two children there. The school is wonderful. Part of the reason is that it's small, although it's getting bigger. The clubhouse is used for lots of things - girl scouts/boy scouts, community events, etc. Plus, you are close Glen Echo park, which is fabulous - they offer all sorts of classes for kids and adults alike. Plus, as you likely know, the area is beautiful. Mature trees, nature trails nearby, the C&O canal, etc. I really do love where I live. While kids don't roam free in the way we used to when we were young, it's pretty good. Best of luck. My guess is that you'll love it. |

| We had been hoping a house would come on in Garrett Park but that was just not going to happen with our timeline. It felt like Bannockburn was similar and without trains so we are excited, thanks for the feedback. |
