Who else here refuses to dye their hair?

I'm 42 with a fair amount of gray. My hair is light brown with some natural highlights so the gray pretty much blends in. Its fun to see my hair getting lighter. And, to me its not worth the time and money to cover my gray. I might feel differently if my hair was darker.

I have to disagree with this statement. Sorry, but when a woman is still relatively young (not a Sr. Citizen) and still fairly attractive, but is too lazy to color her hair, it just shows that she is too lazy to make the effort to invest in herself and her appearance. Being pretty takes more time, effort and money as you get older and if a woman starts getting sloppy it shows.

Or it could be philosophical or environmental concerns. But sure, let's go with your trite little response. (I'm 33 and am not at all grey, for the record. I love makeup, too - I just think this kind of gender bullying is bullshit.)

I'm 51 and don't dye. As a working mother, I just don't know where I'd find the time. Clothes I can buy on the internet. But you can not dye your hair on the internet. Sometimes, I even let my hair grow out too much before I get it cut. I am ashamed of this, but have no idea how I would find the time to do otherwise. Maybe I should shave my head and wear a wig.

I

I am not grey yet but I think it's great you don't dye. I think a lot of time dyeing make women look worse - fake and wrong coloring. Plus those dyes might be dangerous.

I don't think there is anything wrong with NOT dyeing. I just wanted to get that out there.

However, I am far from meticulous about my hair. I dye my hair maybe once every 6 weeks and it takes about 40 minutes longer than my regular hair routine - so 40 minutes once every 6 weeks. Hair cuts take a lot longer (to/from salon +appt time) and I sometimes stretch those out a bit too long. If the gray is driving you nuts, than dyeing really isn't too time consuming and might make a big difference to you. If you are fine with having some natural gray (or all gray) that is fine, too. Do what YOU like.

^I dye mine at home. Just wanted to clarify that.

Late 20s and my white hair has started growing in. I plan never to color my hair (never have so why start now?). I'm in rockin' shape, have great skin, and am usually the most put-together person in a room so I don't fear people thinking I've "given up." Clearly not!

Because how you look is all that matters in life. Right?

Some of the most beautiful women I have seen are very well put together and they are fully grey and embrace it. They look younger than many of their peers who are trying to grasp every last ounce of their youth. Just because you don't color your hair does not mean that you are not trying. You seem like an awesome person!

Sorry to tell you ladies, but S&P and even fully grey can be visually intoxicating.

Can be. Depends on the woman. On some of us it looks plain bad.
