Anybody goes the natural route for the skin(& hair) instead of using the chemical filled stuff they sell at the local walmart/rite aid/CVS /Walgreen etc?

Dealing with the regular lotions did more negative stuff for my skin(drying it out ) then good.anybody suffering from skin problems I would advise checking out African jojoba oil/virgin coconut oil/argan oil/ almond oil / tea tree oil /olive oil(they say its good for hair & skin I'm not a fan of it though)

I use coconut oil for my body, jojoba oil for my face and olive oil for my hair. Why are you not a fan?

I wouldn't use olive oil for the face. Also, a little goes a long way.

You said you use it for your scalp /hair...you ever used carrot oil? I mentioned it to alot of people & all but 1 said they never used it.when I was growing my hair /had braids carrot oil made hair strong as bamboo.I would recommend it to all.

(& yeah I now know lol@keep olive oil away from face)

Coconut oil, just a tiny little dab will go both legs, barely dime size amount. My husband uses a little on his face & his visible pores are pretty much gone.

Coconut oil is nice for body & hair. I wouldn't use for face. Plain whole fat yogurt is a nice moisturizing way to wash your face.

I use avocado oil sometimes. It's a light green and evens out my skin tone. I don't do it too often because it makes me smell like guacomole.

Love coconut oil for my dry hair. It also brings out the curl.

rub on some coconut oil to smell like a daiquiri and it would be a party!

Didn't Hoda Kotb just promote Coconut oil in her Most Beautiful People article?

My son is mixed. He's only 3 but I exclusively use coconut cooking oil on his skin and hair. He has kinky hair and it works on frizz and defines his curls pretty well. I've tried it on my curly white girl hair but it's just too fine and weighs my hair down. I warm it and pour it in to a container with a larger opening than the jar, then use as necessary. On the up side, inexpensive and it smells great. The scent isn't overwhelmingly coconut either. On the down side, when he lays his head on my shoulder while reading the bedtime story, it leaves a grease stain on my shirt. Also, chasing a recently greased up 3yo is interesting. He's pretty slippery.
